Why AD Alarms believe that the Yale Wireless Alarm is best value
AD Alarms have been installing Yale Alarms systems throughout Yorkshire, for a number of years and we’ve also tried many other makes of wireless security alarm, some of which are excellent but in this review we shall point out why we believe that the Yale Alarm is the best value.
It comes down to two basic principles, cost and the function ability.
Yale Wireless Alarms are inexpensive but gives you everything that is required for the small to medium security installation. It can incorporate up to forty wireless passive infrareds and magnetic contacts, which obviously, is far more than is required for most installations. The wireless range is stated to be 30 meters, but we have actually installed in factories sensors over fifty meters away without any intervention of walls, and they’ve worked fine, which also includes the self acting siren box.

One of the most impressive features of the Yale Premium Alarm system is the incorporated telephone speech dialler, which we’ve never found to not work, unlike some other systems which sometimes have technical problems. You program in your own recorded message and there is an inbuilt recorded message telling you to press nine on your telephone keypad, to stop the dialler moving onto any more telephone numbers programmed into the system, you
can program in three telephone numbers in total.
The outside self acting siren box is very robust in construction made of polycarbonate plastic and it is easy to secure to the wall with a top fixing to hook it into place and then two bottom screw fixings to anchor it.
The security system in alarm condition also triggers an internal inbuilt 120 dB siren, which is built into the main slim line control panel, giving a very impressive internal as well as external audible alarm.

There are two pre-programmed settings on the system, you press the red key for full arm, which gives full protection to the installation by arming all the sensors and this is desired when leaving the premises completely empty.
Alternatively you can program the system into home mode, which means part set, which allows the user by pressing the amber key, to arm the system but to also automatically omit any sensors which had been programmed into home mode. For example if there is a passive infrared on the top landing of the house that can be set to home mode which means it will not work at night time, but leaving the downstairs fully armed.
So summing up why we believe this is the best value wireless security alarm system on the market at the moment.
There are many other systems which provide excellent coverage and functionality for wireless security alarms, but as a security equipment installer
we do believe there is a certain amount of snobbery within the industry from certain suppliers and installers. It is often suggested that because electronic equipment is not expensive, it obviously isn’t reliable or providing the same amount of functionality, but we believe this is not the case with the Yale Alarm Systems. We also believe that when making comparisons to other similar systems which can cost almost twice the price and more, the functionality of the Yale equipment is often just as good.
There is also a wide range of Yale Burglar Alarm accessories like extra keypads which have brackets which secures to the wall with an attractive flip overlaid, but you can remove the actual keypad which is robustly made for mobile use, also incorporating an instant panic attack button. Extra Wireless keypads can be very useful in remote locations like an external garage.
There is also a purpose-built Wireless panic attack button if that is required for situations like bedrooms for a feeling of security.
A one push arm key fob, which allows arming the system from outside when leaving the building, and it is easy to check that the system is arming from outside because the self acting siren box flashes the LEDs to give a visual confirmation the system is armed.
Wireless smoke detectors which trigger the system into a different sounding alarm condition.
The alkaline batteries in the senses last approximately two years and that easy to change.
AD Alarms still install other makes of security wireless alarm because customers request them, we have come to Specialise in Installing and Servicing the Yale Alarm Systems.
And there’s one other commonsense factor that you should think about when judging the quality of Yale’s equipment, it’s not just AD Alarms sings the virtues of the Yale Wireless Alarms, they have stood the test of time for the last decade with much positive feedback on the Internet regarding the cost and functionality of the equipment.
